Who are Solihull's MPs?

Solihull is represented at Westminster by three MPs, following the parliamentary boundary changes which took effect at the 2024 General Election.

The borough is split between Solihull West and Shirley, Meriden and Solihull East, and Birmingham Hodge Hill and Solihull North.

Neil Shastri-Hurst MP

Solihull West and Shirley

Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst MP is the Conservative MP for Solihull West and Shirley.

He was first elected at the 2024 General Election and has represented the constituency since July 2024. He currently serves as Shadow Parliamentary Under Secretary for Health and Social Care.

Before entering Parliament, Dr Shastri-Hurst worked as a barrister and doctor.

His constituency includes parts of western Solihull, including Shirley and surrounding areas.

If you live in Solihull West and Shirley, he is your MP for issues that are the responsibility of the UK Parliament or central government.

Saqib Bhatti MP

Meriden and Solihull East

Saqib Bhatti MP is the Conservative MP for Meriden and Solihull East.

He was elected for the new constituency at the 2024 General Election, having previously represented the former Meriden constituency since 2019.

He currently serves as a Shadow Minister for Education.

The constituency covers areas in the eastern part of the borough and includes communities around Meriden and Solihull East.

Liam Byrne MP

Birmingham Hodge Hill and Solihull North

Liam Byrne MP is the Labour MP for Birmingham Hodge Hill and Solihull North.

He has represented the constituency since July 2024.

The constituency covers Hodge Hill in Birmingham as well as areas of northern Solihull.

Liam Byrne is currently Chair of the Business, Innovation, Science and Trade Committee in Parliament. He also chairs the Business, Innovation, Science and Trade Sub-Committee on Economic Security, Arms and Export Controls.
