Solihull Food Festival is returning to the town centre from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September, with a brand-new farmers’ market among the highlights.
The Solihull Food & Harvest Festival will bring food, music and entertainment to the town centre across three days, with the new farmers’ market taking place in Mell Square on Saturday 26 September.
The market will feature artisan producers selling products including bread, pasta, wine and cheese, with visitors able to meet the people behind the businesses and find out more about how their products are made.
There will also be a haybale area where visitors can sit down with a coffee or glass of English wine.
What is happening at the festival
Friday 25 September will be Harvest Harmony, with 17 local choirs performing in Mell Square.
There will also be a harvest singalong and a food bank collection supporting a local charity.
Saturday 26 September is the main Food Festival day, with street food vendors on the High Street, alfresco bars and live music from midday until 8pm.
Performers include Sean Reeves and Jayme Tovey, Heed, Big Ship Alliance and The Reggulites.
Sunday 27 September will have a country theme with the Barn Dance Festival, including free line dancing and tribute performances celebrating Shania Twain, The Wurzels and Dolly Parton.
A bucking bronco and children's Farmyard creation station will also be available.
A Scarecrow Trail will run throughout the weekend, with scarecrows placed around the town centre for visitors to find and vote for their favourite.
The festival is free to attend and will take place across Solihull town centre from 25 to 27 September.
