Five people are at the centre of a police investigation following alleged assaults at Reform UK’s National Conference at Birmingham’s NEC.
The incidents happened on Friday, September 4, as protesters were removed from the conference hall during Nigel Farage’s speech.
West Midlands Police said several suspects have now been identified and officers have reviewed footage of the incidents as they work to establish exactly what happened.
The force said it is aware that names of people allegedly involved are circulating online and in the media, but has urged people not to speculate about their identities.
Police are also in contact with the security team working at the NEC.
The investigation will be of interest to thousands of people across Solihull and the wider West Midlands who regularly attend events at the NEC.
